8 MayMy lovely Linda, she’s my dear friend, hairstyling assistant, right-hand gal, road trippin’ weekend warrior and curling, teasing, braiding, poufing and pinning partner in crime. If you’ve had a wedding with Beauty & the Blush this past year, you’ve met her and your bridesmaids likely got their updos from her! A few weeks ago, Linda got her own Beauty & the Blush hair and makeup treatment as she celebrated her one year anniversary with her sweet hubby Adam with this adorable outdoor photoshoot. These images are some of my favorites (by the ever lovely and so talented Tucker Images). She’s an all-natural gal, so we kept her makeup simple, just highlighting her eyes, cheeks and brows and big, easy-going waves in her hair.

I absolutely adore this beautiful bride (and her glamorous style)! We did a bronze & mauve colored palette on MihnTu’s eyes with winged liner, flawless skin and a pretty pink lip and a big, full updo. Her bridesmaids all requested really fun, great looks (see bold-eyed bridesmaid below) and updos all around! Such a beautiful group! 25 AprHappy Friday! Everyone, meet Taylor, one of my fall/winter 2013 brides who was as sweet, wonderful and lovely as she was gorgeous. She has the sparkliest eyes I’ve ever seen (so obviously we totally played those up!) and the thickest hair of all time. Ever. (I think I’ve said that before, but Taylor totally wins the prize). She wanted classic, wedding glamour so I used a smoldering grey palette on the eyes, with a neat, sharp winged liner and matte skin with big curls and the perfect little floral topper. I enjoyed every minute of working with this beautiful bride – from her bridal portrait day at the Rosewood Crescent Hotel to her BIG beautiful day at the Fort Worth Omni Hotel before heading to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. I am always so thankful when my bride’s allow us the opportunity to provide hair and makeup for their entire group – and Abby’s six bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law all got a full day of beauty!
Aside from Abby being totally gorgeous, gracious and lovely, she is also the proud of owner of the longest, thickest, most hair I’ve ever had to wrangle into an updo. The result (challenged my creativity a bit) and ended up being one of my favorite bridal updos of all time! Courtney’s natural wedding beauty with NBarrett Photography at Gather McKinney
10 AprCourtney & Ben said “I Do” in a sweet and beautifully intimate ceremony this spring at Gather McKinney. Courtney was a no-makeup kind of gal, so she wanted to keep her look as clean, simple and natural as possible.
So we did just that! Pretty, smooth cream foundation, a little bronze and coral pop on her cheeks, taupe on her eyes and loads of mascara, with a pinky-natural pout and she was ready to go down the aisle. But! Let’s not forget that hair!!! I LOVE when my brides opt for braids! Courtney straightened her naturally corkscrew-curly hair and we did soft, smooth waves and two braids on either side that met in the back for an infinity crown braid. We topped it off from with a few fern leaves (from Bows & Arrows). Her overall look, a little Grecian, a little boho and whole lot of natural, gorgeous, goodness! Engaged | Vicky & Daniel with Allen Tsai Photography at the Dallas Arboretum

I love stylish couples…. and Vicky & Daniel are just that! These recent Dallas transplants are tying the knot in their native Southern California this Spring and are working with the lovely and talented Allen Tsai Photography! Their engagement shoot took place at a few of my favorite places all over town – The Dallas Arboretum, Klyde Warren Park and Nasher Sculpture Center.
Vicky’s makeup is defined but classic and soft in a palette of cool grey and pinks, and I used a 1-inch barrel curling iron to give her shoulder length hair tons of voluminous curls and pinned it up for a side-swept updo. (style note :: the gold & pink gown she is wearing … totally couture! The fabric was imported from France and the gown was hand sewn just for her – so glam!

Thania’s Dallas engagement shoot with Havi Frost Photography and Jen Rios Design {hair and makeup}
28 JanI am loving these gorgeous engagement photos taken a few weeks ago by the ever-talented and lovely Havi Frost Photography. Thania & Miguel wanted a duel-setting shoot; something sweet and romantic and something urban and city-scape inspired. So Jen Rios Design went to work (with gorgeous floral by Wedfully Yours) in setting up two scenes at the White Rock Lake and downtown Dallas at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
Thani – whose chiseled cheekbones I raved over on Facebook and Instagram that day – (I’m convinced) were put on this earth just for my sculpting enjoyment – wanted flawless skin, dramatic eyes and structured, but not-too-perfect curls for their shoot. Enjoy!
