Lauren’s bridal portraits | Canals at Las Colinas | Brandi Burkett Photography

I’ve been dying to do this post! Lauren took her bridal portraits earlier this spring before she hopped on a plane with her fiancé, both their families in tow, and headed for their destination nuptials on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Jealous? Yeah, me too. But I’m so grateful I was able to do her hair and makeup for her romantic, Tuscan-inspired portrait session at the Canals of Las Colinas with Brandi Burkett Photography. Aside from how gorgeous she is – how freaking amazing is her couture wedding gown by Deborah Powell of White Gown Workroom? Swoon. Cheers to you, sweet Lauren!

Lauren’s engagement beauty | Brandi Burkett Photography

Lauren is one of my oldest childhood friends, so of course I was thrilled when she came to me for her engagement session makeup & hair! She wanted something natural but glamorous that would look great at her outdoor shoot at the canals of Las Colinas with Brandi Burkett Photography. So we used a neutral, warm palette of shades of gold and bronze on her eyes, peachy-coral on her cheeks and lips and big, loose, tousled waves in her hair with lots of volume.

Lauren & Robbie are tying the knot this May in ITALY (jealous!!!!) and we just did her bridal portraits last week. I am dying (and this is an understatement) to post those photos but it will have to wait until after her big day! Congrats to these two and cheers to your happily ever after!

Lauren’s classic glamour Bridal Portraits | Brandi Burkett Photography

Stop. First, can I please just point out this bride’s perfectly porcelain skin, gorgeous black hair and the most ladylike red lip I’ve ever seen a bride pull off? Lauren is the epitome of classic glam and grace. Not to mention these photos were taken by the ever-lovely, dream-to-work-with, wildly-talented Brandi Burkett of Brandi Burkett Photography. It all reminds me of a modern approach to Gone with the Wind, no? That unmistakeable southern charm it just too pretty. Enjoy!

I’ve known this gorgeous gal since we were much younger …. Lauren’s the little sister of one of my very best friends, the mayor’s daughter and the sweetest gem you’ll ever meet. We even grew up on the same street together, (I’ve spent more time of the Dean family back porch than I can account for!) so I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to do her wedding! (insert shameless plug here —–> I also planned her wedding too, through my sister company Life is Pretty, LLC).

She’s one of the sweetest, craziest, wildest, most loving people I’ve ever met and lucky for me, she also happens to be one of my very best friends.
