I am loving these gorgeous engagement photos taken a few weeks ago by the ever-talented and lovely Havi Frost Photography. Thania & Miguel wanted a duel-setting shoot; something sweet and romantic and something urban and city-scape inspired. So Jen Rios Design went to work (with gorgeous floral by Wedfully Yours) in setting up two scenes at the White Rock Lake and downtown Dallas at the Meyerson Symphony Center.
Thani – whose chiseled cheekbones I raved over on Facebook and Instagram that day – (I’m convinced) were put on this earth just for my sculpting enjoyment – wanted flawless skin, dramatic eyes and structured, but not-too-perfect curls for their shoot. Enjoy!
Sweet Mila came to me wanting understated glamour and an elegant bridal look but most importantly, she wanted to look like herself. We kept her makeup really clean and fresh, adding a pop of color (purple!) on her eyes. We swept her dark silky hair up into a sleek chignon and sent her down the aisle to marry her prince charming. She treated her maid-of-honor to a day of beauty too! Enjoy!
My favorite thing about this image? Mila came to me for an appointment around 8:30AM on her wedding day … and here she is, cake cutting, late night and all, still looking just as flawless as when she left my chair early that morning!
Photography by the lovely Feather & Twine; venue Piazza in the Village, Colleyville.
This sweet little bride has flawless skin, gorgeous eyes and hair that just doesn’t stop … which made her old Hollywood inspired hair and makeup look for her engagement session with fiancé Mark seem effortless! Ruby red lips, a mini-cat eye and big sleek curls with a deep side part – AMAZING!
Take a look at these gorgeous photos by Sarah Kate Photography and enjoy!
You may remember Nicole, my fun-loving, adventure-seeking bride, from her fierce underwater bridal portrait session featured here a few months ago! Today she’s showing off her soft, romantic makeup and pretty updo from her gorgeous wedding ceremony at the Arboretum and reception at the Stoneleigh!
Special thanks to Amy Karp for these lovely images!
after her ceremony we ran back to the hotel suite to do a hair flip …. down, curled and elegant for the reception!
I absolutely adore this outdoor engagement session with my bride Jasmine!
She wanted outdoor-friendly, smoldering, smokey eye makeup … so instead of the traditional black and grey used to create a smokey eye, I made it daytime-approriate by using taupe, slate grey and a hint of plum. Pair that with carefree, voluminous waves, and you get this this fashionably sassy engagement shoot by Amy Karp Photography!
One of my favorite things about being a makeup artist/hair stylist in DFW is partnering up with the AMAZING talents in this industry to create crazy-fun, glamorous, totally unique photoshoot inspiration ideas and concepts. Today, our pink+emerald+gold modern-chic wedding is featured on RUFFLED Blog and I’m super excited! See the full blog post here and see the entire gallery of the shoot’s images here!
And enjoy this special feature on the hair and makeup from the shoot. I incorporated the pink/gold theme into a shimmery, fully lined eye in deep burgundy, lighter pink and gold with glowing skin and bronze cheeks. Her hair is a little haphazard, a little messy, but big, full and loaded with volume.
